Labradorite is a unique and captivating mineral known for its remarkable play of colour, referred to as labradorescence. This effect produces a mesmerizing display of shimmering colours, often including blues, greens, and sometimes reds, golds, and purples. 

Fun fact: Labradorite was first discovered on the Isle of Paul, near Nain in Labrador, Canada, which is how it got its name. It can also be found in other parts of the world, including Finland, Madagascar, and the United States.
