What is implant-grade titanium?
Implant-grade titanium is one of the most widely recommended materials for body piercing jewellery.

Do not guess the size of jewellery for a healing piercing.
Can I shop jewellery by piercing placement?
Yes. Our jewellery collections are organised to make finding suitable pieces easier.
You can browse jewellery for placements such as ears, nose, lips, navel and other piercings, as well as shop by jewellery type, material, designer, gemstone and availability.
Remember that anatomy varies, so not every piece listed for a placement will necessarily be suitable for every person.
Can I use your jewellery in a fresh piercing?
Many pieces made from appropriate implant-grade materials may be suitable for initial piercings, but suitability depends on the material, jewellery design, dimensions and individual anatomy.
Your professional piercer should select the correct jewellery and size for a fresh piercing.

Availability & Lead Times
What does “Ready to Ship” mean?
Ready to Ship means the jewellery is currently in stock at Artmageddon Piercing Studio and available for dispatch.
Orders are normally prepared and dispatched the same or next working day.
What does “Ready to Order” mean?
Ready to Order means the jewellery is currently available from one of our trusted suppliers but is not physically held at Artmageddon Piercing Studio.
Once you place your order, we order the piece from the supplier. It normally takes approximately 3–4 working days to reach us before we can prepare and dispatch your order to you.
Supplier availability can change, particularly with specialist body jewellery. If there is an unexpected change in availability after you order, we will contact you as soon as possible.
What does “Made to Order” mean?
Made-to-order jewellery is produced specifically after your order has been placed.
Lead times vary depending on the designer, complexity of the piece and current manufacturing schedule.
Typical production times can range from approximately 4 weeks to 3 months, although highly customised or specialist pieces may take longer.
BVLA and other handmade fine jewellery manufacturers can have longer production periods because pieces are individually made to specification.
What does “Special Order” mean?
Special Order jewellery may require additional ordering, customisation or confirmation with the manufacturer before production or supply.
Lead times vary depending on the piece.
Where possible, expected timing will be shown on the product page. If you need your jewellery by a particular date, please contact us before ordering.
Can I order Ready to Ship and Made to Order jewellery together?
Yes, but please remember that mixed orders are normally dispatched once the complete order is ready.
For example, if your basket contains a Ready to Ship piece and a Made to Order piece, the in-stock item will usually be held until the made-to-order jewellery arrives.
If you need an available item sooner, we recommend placing separate orders.
Delivery
Where do you currently ship?
Our online store currently focuses primarily on UK delivery, including Northern Ireland.
International availability and shipping options may vary. If your destination is not currently available during checkout, please contact us before placing your order.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping options and prices are calculated according to the order and delivery service selected at checkout.
Because fine piercing jewellery can be extremely valuable, we offer tracked and insured delivery options appropriate to different order values.
The available services will be displayed during checkout.
How are high-value jewellery orders shipped?
High-value orders require an appropriately insured delivery service.
For particularly valuable purchases, additional insured shipping options may be required to ensure the jewellery is adequately protected while in transit.
What happens if my order is over £2,500?
Orders above £2,500 require an individually arranged insured courier service through DHL or FedEx.
Please contact Artmageddon before purchasing so that the delivery service, insurance and shipping cost can be confirmed.
When will my order be dispatched?
Dispatch timing depends on the availability status of your jewellery.
- Ready to Ship: normally prepared the same or next working day.
- Ready to Order: normally approximately 3–4 working days before reaching Artmageddon for dispatch.
- Made to Order: typically approximately 4 weeks to 3 months depending on the manufacturer.
- Special Order: timing varies according to the individual product.
Any estimated lead time refers to processing or production before dispatch and is separate from the courier's delivery time.
Orders & Fine Jewellery
Why can some jewellery take several weeks to arrive?
Many of the pieces available through Artmageddon are not mass-produced fashion jewellery.
Fine body jewellery from designers such as BVLA, Buddha Jewelry and other specialist manufacturers may be handcrafted, produced in small batches or made specifically to your chosen specifications.
This takes longer than purchasing mass-produced jewellery, but allows access to exceptional materials, craftsmanship and designs created specifically for professional body piercing.
Can availability change after I place an order?
Occasionally.
Supplier inventory can change quickly, particularly for specialist jewellery. If an item shown as available through a supplier becomes unavailable before we can secure it, we will contact you to discuss the available options.
Made-to-order jewellery is subject to the manufacturer's production schedule.
Can I order a specific jewellery design that I cannot see online?
Potentially, yes.
We work with specialist jewellery manufacturers offering extensive collections, colours, gemstones and configurations, and not every possible combination can always be displayed online.

Piercing Aftercare
How should I look after a new piercing?
Good piercing aftercare should be simple and consistent.
Avoid unnecessary touching, twisting or removing jewellery while the piercing is healing. Keep the area clean according to the advice provided by your professional piercer and avoid using harsh products that may irritate the tissue.

Should I remove my jewellery if my piercing becomes irritated?
Not automatically.
Redness, swelling or irritation can have several causes, including unsuitable jewellery dimensions, pressure, trauma, aftercare products or the natural healing process.
Removing jewellery without professional advice can sometimes make a problem more difficult to manage.
If you are concerned about a piercing, contact an experienced professional piercer for an assessment.
How long does a piercing take to heal?
Healing time varies significantly depending on the placement, anatomy, jewellery and individual.
Some piercings heal within a few months, while cartilage and other placements may take considerably longer.
A piercing can also appear healed externally before the internal channel has fully matured, so jewellery should not be changed prematurely.
